Proclaiming the Gospel today
New evangelization
The new evangelization invites people to deepen their faith, renew their relationship with Christ, and carry the Gospel into daily life.
A living witness
Following John Eudes, the mission takes shape through the witness of one’s life, prayer, teaching, and apostolic commitments. It gives special importance to making Jesus known as the Good News of God.
Language people can understand
The arts and cultural expressions of each age can serve evangelization. Images, stories, and new forms of beauty help communicate faith in varied settings.
Renewing a relationship with Christ
The new evangelization invites Catholics to deepen and share their faith. It also reaches people who have experienced a crisis of faith, proposing the Gospel anew as an invitation to renewal.
Mission in parish communities
The parish is a central setting for evangelization. Eudist communities recall the baptismal call to holiness and encourage deeper spiritual, sacramental, and missionary life.
Pastoral presence in California
The Eudists serve St. James & St. Leo Catholic Community in Solana Beach and St. Patrick Catholic Church in Carlsbad. They also serve at the House of Jesus and Mary formation house in Vista, and maintain a presence at Blessed Sacrament in San Diego, St. Mary, Star of the Sea in Oceanside, and Holy Spirit in San Diego.
